Discovering Botanical Colors
June 23
Monday, 6-8PM
Come learn about the botanical colors around you. Walk through the gardens to find plant material, then learn how to use the colors for painting, dying, and more. Students will make a color tests and will have the chance to create their own botanical painting as time permits.
Janiece Murray student of traditional techniques and arts including gilding, geometry, bookbinding, and making and painting with handmade watercolors. She received her BA in Visual Art from Brigham Young University and her MA in Traditional Arts from the Prince’s Foundation School of Traditional Arts. Janiece continues to learn and share her findings with others.
