Join us for an excursion into the Garden and natural area to collect a variety of native seeds. You will learn when to harvest, how to handle seeds after collection, and where and how to plant them for best germination results. We’ll provide a list of plants and envelopes for seed collection. Please bring gloves and hand pruners.
Some of the forbs seeds we plan to collect include: Utah's Sweetvetch, Blue Flax, Prairie Coneflower, Showy Milkweed, Rocky Mountain Beepant. Grasses include: Bluebunch Wheatgrass, Little Bluestem, Sideoats Grama, and more.
