Tree Giveaway - Red Butte Garden Visitor Center, All Day
Thanks to the generous support of Rocky Mountain Power, all guests leave with a free Serviceberry Tree, Amelanchier lamarckii, to take home. Trees available while supplies last!
Drop-In Activities - The Sprout House, 10 AM - 3 PM
Explore the world of trees with a trio of self-guided activites perfect for all ages, including a “tree-rific” craft to commerorate your Arbor Day celebration.
Tree Hunt & Exploration Stops - Throughout the Garden, All Day
Red Butte Garden has an amazing collection of trees! See if you can find the ten trees we’ve highlighted with signs as you explore the Garden. Along the way, look for the Exploration Stops where you can use your senses to discover the vital role leaves, trunks, roots, and seeds play in the life of a tree.
Poster Contest Ceremony - Orangerie, 10-10:45AM
Students across the state have been busy learning about trees and creating their own posters to illustrate this year’s theme, "Trees are Terrific for a Healthy Environment!” Help us recognize this year’s contest winners at the official Utah State Arbor Day Ceremony.
Tree Planting - The Four Seasons Garden, 10:45-11AM
Participate in our 2019 Arbor Day tree planting! A new tree will be added to the Garden’s collection to commemorate this important holiday.
