Education

Red Butte Garden provides the community with an outstanding resource for environmental education through lectures, classes, workshops, school field trips, kids classes, camps, tours, and outreach events. If you like people, enjoy plants and nature, and can communicate well, you may enjoy being an Education Volunteer. All education volunteer positions require training.

From June - August, Red Butte Garden Summer Camp offers week-long full and half-day nature-based educational camps for kids entering Kindergarten through 6th grade.

Summer Camp Volunteers

Volunteers work with our Education Staff to create interactive, educational experiences for children. Summer Camp volunteers need to be comfortable working with children in an exciting, outdoor environment. Volunteers may sign up for one day a week, or a week at a time. Training is hands-on. Must be age 15 and older.

Summer Camp Internships for Teens

Red Butte Garden has an exciting opportunity for teenagers who are interested in working with children. During these two-week-long internships teens will gain valuable insight, job skills, references, and hands-on experience in a fun, creative and educational environment.
Contact Meghan Eames at 801-585-5688 for more information and to sign up.
