Click on the words below to find out more. Unlike many other attraction, the Garden changes constantly. In the spring, you'll see fields of daffodils, blanketing the ground like yellow dollops of sunshine. The lilac bushes are another treat, in every soft hue of purple, pink, blue and white. In mid-May the crab apple tree collection is bursting with puffs of white and pink blossoms and the next week the wisteria arbors are dripping with purple blooms.
Throughout the summer perennials and annuals are at their peak. Don't miss the wide variety of roses along the Floral Walk and in the Rose Garden. Fall brings new colors with oranges, reds and browns and a collection of grasses that sway in a light breeze and seed heads that shimmer in the autumn light.
Every season has Garden magic with 324,000 spring bulbs giving way, first to a tapestry of brightly colored summer flowers, and then to fall grasses and leaves and finally, winter white with red twigs and branches.
Things to do include: Wander the themed gardens. Arrange for a private or group tour. Explore in the Children's Garden. See a free Sundance Institute Film on a summer night. Hike in the Natural Area where you'll discover great views of the Salt Lake Valley. Picnic in one of the "Wayside" resting areas or in the Secret Garden. Gather a garden club or book group for a meeting on the Four Seasons Courtyard where you will find chairs, tables and sun umbrellas. Purchase a garden-themed gift or book for a friend, child or for yourself. If you like to volunteer, we have plenty of opportunities to do that too.
Every season also has events and classes as we hope to increase your knowledge and passion for all things botanical. Check our calendar for details.
