Seasonal Events

Bulbs and Blooms Visit the Garden during the months of March, April, and May to see 450,000 blooming bulbs. A large variety of mini bulbs such as Crocus and Iris will blanket the Rose Garden area in March giving way to over 227,000 daffodils and other blooming bulbs, plants, and tree blossoms in April and May.

Monday Family Night

Explore the diversity in our own community! Monday Family Nights are filled with the music and dance of cultural groups found right here in Utah. Bring a picnic and blanket to enjoy a performance at either 6:30PM or 7:30PM and share in a Garden related craft or activity to wrap up the evening.

Summer Camp Out

Bring your tent, camping gear, and a picnic dinner for an unbelievable summer night in the Garden! This overnight campout will include games, crafts, and s'mores. We'll also provide a scrumptious catered breakfast Saturday morning for all participants.

Garden After Dark

Garden After Dark is Red Butte Garden’s annual family-friendly Halloween celebration. The Garden’s 25 acres of Formal Gardens provide an indoor and outdoor event with light displays, crafts, activities, performances, and more! Each year Garden After Dark focuses on a specific theme appropriate to the Garden and Halloween.

Holiday Open House

December 2 & 3, 2017
On the first Saturday & Sunday in December the Orangerie is filled with local artists who have created an array of locally handmade gifts for sale. We also offer FREE admission, complimentary cider, hot chocolate, and a garden winter wonderland to explore.

Winter Solstice Celebration

Join us this Winter Solstice in the Children's Garden for a festive, modern celebration of December's lesser-known holiday. Children's crafts and activities that commemorate ancient Solstice traditions are found throughout the Children’s Garden. Activity stations are located both indoors and out so visitors can enjoy the season.
