May 1 - August 31 Daily 9:00 am - 9:00 pm*

September 1 - 30 Daily 9:00 am - 7:30 pm 

October 1 - December 23 Daily 9:00 am - 5:00 pm Closed Thanksgiving Day and December 24 - January 1

January 2 - end of February Daily 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. 

March 1 - March 31 Daily 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

April 1 - 30 Daily 9:00 am - 7:30 pm 

Exceptions to Normal Hours: Days when outdoor concerts are scheduled, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Adults (ages 18-64): $8

Children (ages 3-17): $6

Seniors (age 65+): $6

Children under 3: Free

U of U Faculty/Staff: $6

U of U Students: Free with valid ID

Garden Members: Free

Groups of 12 or more, receive $1 off the regular admission price for each person. Full group payment is due at time of Garden entrance.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

Visitors can now access the Garden via TRAX from downtown on weekdays. Take the 702 -UNIVERSITY TRAX LINE eastbound and disembark at Primary Children's Medical Center. Catch the YELLOW ROUTE on the University of Utah's shuttle system heading SOUTH. Let the driver know you wish to be taken to Red Butte Garden when you board the shuttle. When you wish to leave the Garden, ask a Visitor Services Staff member to call the shuttle dispatcher for you; proceed in the reverse order back to your original starting point. In compliance with the Utah Clean Air Act and to preserve and protect our collections, Red Butte Garden is a non-smoking facility. Smoking is permitted only in designated areas. Thank you for your cooperation.

ACCESSIBILITY

Wheelchair Accessible

Red Butte Garden buildings, amphitheatre, and some other outdoor areas are handicap accessible. Tram tours operate May through Sept. seven days a week from 10 am – 1 pm and are included with Garden Admission. Trams tours are operated by volunteers. We do not take reservations. Tram tours are first-come, first-served with priority is given to those with special needs. Trams resemble large golf carts; visitors must be able to board them without assistance. Tram tours at any other time need to be scheduled two weeks in advance and cost $20 per tram. Please call our Visitor’s Center for special needs, requests or questions at 801-585-0556.
