Nate Pack Art Exhibit

March 2 - March 25, 2012

"Using familiar images from the world of sports, music, and childhood play, Nate Pack takes seemingly entertaining and juvenile images and permeates them with peculiar angles, bold use of color and a profound sense of form. His work is no child's play. While focusing on the figures, Pack crams his arrangements with stylistic charm and pushes the concept of the narrative to a new whimsical dimension. Christine McDonough Photography Exhibit

March 30 - April 22, 2012

Christine has long loved photography, from her first point-and-shoot camera she inherited at the age of 16, to the high-quality digital SLR she uses today. Growing up in Utah, she was surrounded by visually stunning places – from the red rocks of Capitol Reef to the cool forests of the Wasatch and Uinta ranges. The beauty compelled her to record it on film. From this beginning, her photography has evolved into images that focus more on color and pattern in abstract forms, though she also retains her original literal inclination.

Gordon Eddington Copper Art Exhibit

April 27 - May 20, 2012

The Process of Art on Copper: Gordon takes an image, usually from his photography, and then creates a mosaic pattern from the design. He then transfers the pattern to a piece of copper sheeting. Once this is done the copper is cut into pieces that can be fired with a torch. The type of enamel, translucent or opaque, and the color and the amount of heat determines the outcome of the firing. Once the pieces are fired, they are reassembled and mounted on a steel plate and framed.

Hadley Anne Rampton Art Exhibit

August 17 - September 9, 2012

I began painting outside, mainly in the mountains, due to my love of wilderness. The beauty, the peace, the energy of ever transitory life; it gave me a desire to create and express greater than any other experience I have known. Over the years this desire has never waned. Even the same location can time and again leave me with a fresh sense of awe. As life has become more complex I value the hours I spend in the mountains for the opportunity they give me to clear my head, calm my thoughts, center myself and become fully present in the moment and in my life.

Colleen Reynolds Art Exhibit - Life in Bloom

September 14-October 7, 2012

Colleen Reynolds work celebrates the complexity of the living world, triggered by her interest in biology. She derives much of her inspiration from her husband’s garden. Reynolds paints in acrylic, watercolor and oil. She creates textured and iridescent paintings where the surface shimmers, chameleon-like, in changing light. Her watercolor paintings depict rich, brilliant color applied in puddles or poured in random flows. In addition to a BFA from the University of Utah, Colleen also has a Masters in Education and Bachelors in Mathematics. She teaches watercolor classes out of her Sugarhouse studio. Colleen Reynolds is an inquisitive artist, dedicated to the celebration and study of “Life in Bloom.”
