Monday Family Nights 2013

Join us this summer for Monday Family Nights filled with colors, music, and dance from around the world.
Local Utah cultural groups with diverse backgrounds provide a wonderful experience of music and dance from their heritage, while children enjoy crafts and activities associated with the cultures. Join us as we explore the diversity of the world in our own community! Bring a picnic and a blanket and spend a very fun evening in the Garden with your family.

MONDAY, JUNE 10 - Native American Flute Circle
Celebrating Native American spirit and music - Flute Music with modern motifs and expanded musical range. Join Katherine & Michael Trigleth, Gary Hansen, Howard Leon, Nancy Haga, and Wounded Healer, as they perform original, hauntingly beautiful, Native American Flute music.

MONDAY, JUNE 17 - Best of Africa Cultural Group
Consisting mainly of immigrants from Rwanda and Burundi, this group was created to give Africans living in Utah a way to remain engaged in, and share their cultural traditions of dance, music and crafts.

MONDAY, JULY 1 - Divya School of Dance (Bollywood)
With more than 20 years of experience in various traditional dance forms, Divya Narayanan introduces Utah to Indian classical form of dancing such as Bharatnatyam, Mohiniattam, Kathakali and Bollywood dance style.

MONDAY, JULY 8 - Red Desert Ramblers
Enjoy this award-winning group as they perform Bluegrass, Country-western and Swing music. You may even learn a new dance-step or two.

MONDAY, JULY 22 - Salt Lake Scots
Join us and dance a jig as the premier Scottish pipe band in the state of Utah performs on bagpipes and drums.

ALL EVENTS RUN FROM 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
PERFORMANCES AT 6:00 PM & 7:00 PM

Monday Family Nights are held outdoors in the Amphitheatre area (weather permitting).
Please park in the Red Butte Garden Visitor Center parking lot and enter through the Visitor Center.
