Our Plant Collections

Red Butte Garden is more than a garden with pretty flowers, it's also a museum of living plants. The plants are collected for their horticultural merit, for use in research and conservation, or for inclusion in our large campus arboretum. Careful records are kept on each plant that is accessioned into our collections. These plants and their associated records are useful to educators, interpreters, and researchers and at the same time create a beautiful and relaxing setting for walks, events, and picnics.
