If you are a fan of hardy lavender, now is the time to visit! The gardens are filled with the enticing aroma. The best places to see lavender at Red Butte are in the Fragrance Garden and the Four Seasons Garden.

The garden is still alive with blossoms. There isn't anywhere in the garden you won't find beautiful, interesting and fragrant blossoms.

Bear's Breeches

You can see Bear's Breeches growing in the Rose Garden on the pathway around the wedding lawn.

For those who get excited about cacti like I do, you'll be happy to know that Red Butte's cacti are in bloom!!! To see them in all their glory, visit the Sprout House roof and flower bed across the path.

Welcome to Summer

Well folks, I think we might be finally done with the snow and cold. Scott has beautifully planted the bed at the Visitor Center entrance with desert plants from around the world.

The Natural Area Awakes

The snow has melted off most of the natural area and the first spring flowers have started blooming.  Before you head up there to take a look, take a stroll through the Rose Garden and see the amazing display of dwarf Iris.

In between snow storms it seems like something else decides to wake up from its winter rest and show it's spring color.

The First Daffodil Opened!!!

Ok folks the first daffodil out of approximately 150,000 daffodils officially opened today at Red Butte Garden! How exciting is that?

Along with our 150,000 daffodils throughout the garden, we also have approximately 50,000 other spring blooming flowers.  Come visit often to make sure you don't miss a single one.

Winter Jasmine

Today the Winter Jasmine in the Medicinal Garden has officially started to flower.  Below is the first open flower of the season. There will be many more to follow.
