Fantastic Fall Foliage 2014!

There's no doubt that Red Butte Garden is one of the best places in Salt Lake City to see fall color and there's no better time than right now. You can begin with a relaxing stroll through the full palette colors of our formal gardens provide, then continue with a hike in the Natural Area to see the colors that Mother Nature has grown.

Fall's Fabulous Floral, Fruit and Foliage Finery

Fall weather brings about a fabulous display throughout the Garden. Many of our plants are creating a show not only with their flowers, but with their fruits and leaves as well. Be sure to take heed of the cool autumn air as it beckons you to the Garden!

Fall in Love with Our Grasses

It appears as though Fall is upon us. The leaves have started to change, our gardens are ready to harvest and there is a touch of cool in the air. As the season progresses, our grasses really begin to show off.

The Wonderful Water Pavilion

The Water Pavilion Garden is awash in late summer interest, from aquatics to water-wise plants. This garden is a great place to relax and enjoy spectacular views along with feathered and finned friends who would love to see you (and your donation of treats from the dispenser on the deck).

Gateway Spotted Joe Pye Weed    Eupatorium maculatum 'Gateway'

Come Mallow Out with Our Hibiscus

The Mallow family brings the garden a wealth of beautiful summer bloomers that are just waiting to dazzle you as you take a relaxing stroll through the garden.

Meadow Walk

Often overlooked and underused, our Wildflower Meadow has a lot to offer. With a meandering path now mowed through the center, you can get up close and personal with some neatly labeled water-wise grasses and perennials.

A sign welcomes you to enter the meadow to begin your experience.

Blooms That Have it Made in the Shade

Having a shady and beautiful garden to escape to can be an incredible respite for the mind and body. Shady spots throughout Red Butte Garden are sure to bring you wonderful inspiration for your own garden, or the escape you need.

Summer is definitely here and the Garden is in full bloom! This is a great time to experience the Garden at full tilt, awash in beautiful blooms, buzzing pollinators and talkative birds. Shade can be found around every corner and now is great time to enjoy summer in the Garden,
