Seasonal Events

Bulbs and Blooms Visit the Garden during the months of March, April, and May to see 400,000 blooming bulbs. Over 224,000 daffodils and a variety of mini bulbs such as Crocus and Iris will blanket the Rose Garden ground in March giving way to daffodils and other blooming flowers in April and Crab Apple trees that blossom like pink popcorn on the branch.

Monday Family Night

During the summer, Monday Family Nights are filled with colors, sounds, music and dance from around the world. Local Utah cultural groups with diverse backgrounds perform music and dance from their heritage while children enjoy crafts and activities associated with the different cultures. You are welcome to bring a picnic and a blanket. Performances are held in the Amphitheater (weather permitting). Please enter through the Visitor Center - Regular Garden Admission / Garden Members free.

Summer Camp Out

July 11-12 & August 15-16, 2014
Bring your tent, camping gear, and a picnic dinner for an unbelievable summer night in the Garden! This overnight campout will include games, s'mores, a tour of the Garden, and a late night movie. We'll also provide a scrumptious catered breakfast Saturday morning for all participants.

Garden After Dark

Garden After Dark is Red Butte Garden’s annual family-friendly Halloween celebration. The Garden’s 25 acres of Formal Gardens provide an indoor and outdoor event with light displays, crafts, activities, performances, and more! Each year Garden After Dark focuses on a specific theme appropriate to the Garden and Halloween.

Holiday Open House

December 6 & 7, 2014
On the first Saturday & Sunday in December the Orangerie is filled with local artists who have created an array of locally handmade gifts for sale. We also offer free admission, complimentary cider, hot chocolate, and a garden winter wonderland to explore. CLICK HERE for more information.

Winter Solstice Celebration Join us on Winter Solstice in the Children's Garden for a festive, modern celebration of December's lesser-known holiday. Children's crafts and activities that commemorate ancient Solstice traditions are found throughout the Children’s Garden and Em's Sprout House. Activity stations are located both indoors and out so visitors can enjoy the season.
