Red Butte Garden is located just 5 minutes from downtown Salt Lake City. Enjoy a garden tour or hike with our enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff or volunteers. They'll take you beyond what is initially apparent to the more subtle aspects of the Garden's splendor.

Guided tours are perfect for

Guided tours are approximately two miles and take about 1.5 hours.
Registration required 2 weeks in advance.

  • 1 - 15 people $20 plus admission
  • 16 - 30 people $40 plus admission
  • 31 - 45 people $60 plus admission

Groups with 12 or more Garden visitors receive a dollar discount per person on admission . Groups fees should be handled in one payment.

EARLY MORNING BIRD WATCHING

  • SATURDAY, JULY 17, 9AM - NOON

Enjoy the Garden’s cool morning breezes and join us for a morning walk full of wildlife activity. Bullock’s Oriole, Western Tanager, Downy Woodpecker, and American Gold Finch are just some of the many birds we’re likely to see. Bring your binoculars and drop in for one or more of the scheduled birding walks.

EVENING EXPLORATION: GARDEN TOUR

Join us for an exploration of what's blooming throughout the Garden. Come once or come often to walk with one of our fabulous Garden Guides and take an intimate look at the Garden and see how it changes throughout the season. Wear comfortable clothes and walking shoes. Meet in the Visitor Center courtyard.

EVENING EXPLORATION: NATURAL AREA HIKE

Join us for an exploration of what's blooming in our “back forty”. Come once or come often to walk with a trained volunteer to take a closer look at our Natural Area and see how it changes throughout the season. Wear comfortable clothes and walking shoes. Meet in Visitor Center courtyard.
